Write a thought piece (no minimum or maximum) about your response to the film and audio file. 2. Take notes as you do the reading to help yourself get a handle on the issue from several perspectives. Put post-its where you want to remember key issues to discuss. Write ONE set of reading response notes drawing on ALL the readings, using the guidelines on page 21 of the course syllabus. 3. The last date in the Gratz abortion timeline is September 28, 2000. Using any resources available to you, research what has happened in the politics of abortion in this country during the last year; write two more brief entries following the last date in the Gratz abortion timeline. One must be in the last 12 months. Be prepared to mark both on a class time loc and educate your classmates about what you learn.

Abortion, some would cringe, some would fight for it, and some would simply want it as an option that one could choose, but in all, it is a possibility that requires thorough consideration, before being implemented, rejected, or fought for. I am not one who finds the concept of abortion as a topic that is black and white, but rather something that needs to be viewed from all the perspectives and decoded from all the angles, before taking a final call. I do not advocate for abortion when one simply wishes to abort a perfectly healthy child because he or she was a mistake; one cannot simply label their actions as mistakes and then leave the responsibility on someone else.
